Inspiration from my Roommates

Being in my apartment for most of the semester due to hybrid schedule has been a lot easier than I thought it would be, primarily because of the people I live with. We have all had our moments of boredom and stress, but at the end of the day it is nice to wind down with each other. All of my roommates have very different personalities and styles from one another, and so I thought I’d write and recognize how individualistic they all are.

Ella

Ella is one of the most loving people I have met here at UGA, and I get so much inspiration by her confidence and style. Mostly everything she wears is thrifted, whether it’s from her hometown’s local thrift store, or from America’s Thrift here in Athens! Ella is also very proud of the way she can thrift-flip and create pieces from scratch. Here is one of Ella’s favorite fall outfits to wear during the week, along with her stunning eye makeup:

Jillian

I have known Jillian since middle school, and I have watched her style change in many ways throughout the years. She is the funniest and nicest person ever, and I am grateful to be her roommate! Recently, her main inspiration of clothing has been from one of her favorite artists: Harry Styles. An example of this can be seen in the photos where she is wearing a cardigan that is similar to one Harry Styles wore at a concert. I love when she wears bright colors because it compliments her eyes super well. Here is Jillian’s outfit, inspired by Harry Styles:

Erin

Erin and I have been good friends since kindergarten, and I always think about how I never would have thought I would be living with her! Erin is the most creative person I know. She and I are both journalism majors, and she writes for the culture desk at the Red & Black. Erin is a huge fan of layers, so I know she is excited for it to be cold outside! Erin’s wardrobe consists of a mix between thrifted and first-hand purchased items. Here is her absolute favorite outfit to wear when it’s cold out:

I hope you all enjoyed reading about and celebrating my roommates’ styles with me! I find inspiration from them every day, so I hope you feel inspired as well.
