Gimme Some Space!

Hi everybody! The holidays are among us, and they’ll look different this year. More time in quarantine means more freedom and time to play around with your makeup and hair! I put together this space-y, euphoria-esque look, and I hope you’ll try it out yourself!

  1. Space bun hair

Supplies: Hair brush, curling wand, texture spray, small hair ties, bobby pins

  1. Brush your hair and part down the middle.

  2. Take the small hair ties and section the top part of each side into two small pigtails.

  3. Twist right side pigtail and wrap hair around hair tie to make a small bun and secure pieces with bobby pins.

  4. Repeat on other side.

  5. Spray remaining hair with heat protectant to keep hair safe from heat of curling wand.

  6. Take sections of hair and wrap around the wand and hold until you feel the heat through the hair with your finger.

  7. Repeat process until your whole head is curled to your satisfaction.

  8. Run fingers lightly through curls to loosen and separate them. Then finish by spraying with texture spray and/or hairspray.

2. Starry Makeup

  1. Moisturize your face and prime it starting with applying the product in the middle of your face and rub outward.

  2. Apply foundation with a wet beauty blender to the middle of face and blend outward, building coverage as needed.

  3. Apply concealer to under eyes, bride of nose, and any other areas you want to conceal. Use a beauty blender blend product into the foundation then set the areas you’ve concealed with powder.

  4. Apply powder to the whole face adding extra over the areas you’ve concealed.

  5. Apply and blend thicker concealer onto your eyelids and set with powder.

  6. Using a variety of eyeshadow palettes, create the look you  desire. I used a dark grey, purple, and blue in my crease. Then I cut the crease with concealer and concealer brush. Then I applied silver, purple, blue, and dark blue shimmer shades on my lid.

  7. Apply eyeliner by drawing a thin line over the lid and following the natural shape of your eye to create a wing.

  8. Use a darker powder to contour under your cheekbones, side of your nose, and top of forehead along the hairline.

  9. Apply a highlighter on the inner corner of your eyes and brow bone.

  10. Using a mix of pink, purple, and orange apply colors to cheekbones, temples, side of forehead, and nose.

  11. Using a concealer brush, draw small crosses and dots on your face to create a galaxy or star cluster effect. Set areas with stars with highlighters.

  12. Apply fake lashes or mascara and you’re done!

Keep experimenting with playful, fun makeup and hair looks. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at your results!
