12 Fashion Highlights at the Golden Globes

The Golden Globes award ceremony this year looked very different than the usual paparazzi-swarmed, crowded red carpet event we’re used to, but that didn’t stop most celebrities from dressing to the nines. We were impressed by the glamorous looks that were featured during the virtual award show, but there were a few fashion and beauty moments that we’re especially in love with. Read on to see some of the best looks.

Dan Levy went for a full-on yellow Valentino look, and we’re loving this bold take on the monochrome outfit. His gold platform boots and sequin turtleneck added some shine to the eye-catching ensemble.

2. Julia Garner in Prada

This dramatic V-neck gown by Prada channels the Roaring 20s, but takes a step further with a bright red lip and minimal accessories. We’re obsessed.

3. Regina King in Louis Vuitton

Regina King has always flaunted the most sophisticated and gorgeous looks on the red carpet, and this year’s virtual ceremony was no exception. She looked stunning in this shining piece by Louis Vuitton.

Designer Molly Goddard had notable moments at this year’s Golden Globes, with both Rosamund Pike and this Bridgerton star glowing in her trend-setting, ultra femme tulle gowns. Coughlan added a pop of color with bright pink eye makeup.

Cynthia Erivo created a beautifully futuristic atmosphere around her as she showed off an incredible neon Valentino dress. Paired with terrifyingly tall silver platform stilettos, Erivo looked like she came from the year 3000 in the absolute best way.

Lily Collins went for old Hollywood glam this year with the help of Saint Laurent. She looked classic in the one-shoulder cutout dress and perfected the look with a smoky eye and romantic loosely curled locks.

The shining moment of Oscar de la Renta’s design lies in the lovely floral sleeves blooming from the sleek and simple coral gown. Amanda Seyfried looked ethereal, as if she had a bouquet of peonies wrapped around her.

Viola Davis continues to be an icon not only in the world of film, but in the world of fashion as well. Accessorized beautifully with Pomellato chain necklaces and bracelets, this custom African-print silk mermaid dress from Lavie by Kameni paid homage to Davis’ roots and left us dazzled.

11. Elle Fanning in Gucci

Like Collins, Elle Fanning went full-on old Hollywood glam with her whimsical silk gown by Gucci. The robin’s egg hue of the dress was enhanced with crystal-covered metallic straps and minimalistic hair and makeup.

12. Anya Taylor-Joy in Dior

Last but certainly not least, Anya Taylor-Joy in a jaw-dropping haute couture dress by Dior. The “Queen’s Gambit” star proved that emerald is her color as she donned the hue head-to-toe. Made complete with sleek platinum hair and bronzed cheekbones, the look had to be included in our highlights.

We’re so inspired by all of the show-stopping looks we saw at the Golden Globes, and we hope you are too! Taking fashion risks is what Rouge is all about, and that’s exactly what these iconic celebrities did this year despite the circumstances of a global pandemic. Despite the fact most of us won’t be invited to the Golden Globes anytime soon, award shows are a great reminder to make bold fashion statements, even from the comfort of your home.
