Madison Beer's Signature Makeup Look
Singer and social media star Madison Beer recently filmed a tutorial for Vogue featuring her beauty secrets and her signature everyday look. Here are the key takeaways of her routine, along with some dupes and where to save or splurge on the products she uses:
1) Skin!
The most important step to any makeup look is fresh, hydrated skin, which will achieve a smoother look and help your makeup last longer. Beer’s routine starts off with a benzoyl peroxide cleanser, which is great for acne-prone skin. If you have normal to dry skin, use a gentle product like the silky cleanser from Raya — which is my go-to, affordable online skincare brand. To hydrate the skin, Beer finishes with the Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Moisturizer with Ceramides. Ceramides are found naturally in the skin and help create a barrier on your face to lock in moisture. A similar product is the CeraVe Daily Moisturizer, which also contains ceramides.
2) Base
After skincare, Beer uses the Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint all over for a light coverage base. Now that we are going into spring, I would recommend the L'Oréal' Pro Glow to get the same look — but with SPF! Sunscreen is crucial for warmer weather in order to protect skin from the sun and prevent aging. Next, Beer applies the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer under her eyes to brighten for a natural finish. A comparable affordable alternative for this product is the Morphe Fluidity Concealer. Pro tip: After applying concealer, wait a few minutes for the product to sit on the skin before blending to get fuller coverage.
3) Sunkissed Glow
A key feature of this look is a generous amount of blush. Beer uses the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wands, which are easy to apply and give the skin a healthy glow. To get this look for less, the Glossier Cloud Paint is a gorgeous cream blush that comes in a wide range of bright colors! Blush is Beer’s favorite makeup product, so to recreate this look, apply more blush than you typically would. Focus the product high on your cheekbones and apply to the tip of your nose as well.
4) Eyes
Winged eyeliner is Beer’s signature look. To do this, she uses a short angled brush dipped in dark brown eyeshadow from her palette collab with Morphe. To get the best-shaped wing for your eye type, just follow the imaginary line from your lower lash line curving up towards the end of your brow. My favorite makeup tools ever, eyeshadow shields, always help me create a perfect wing effortlessly! Beer blended the same brown eyeshadow that she used for the wing along her lower lash line for a seamless look.
5) Lips
To finish off Beer’s look she uses the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat to line her lips and lines below her bottom lip to create fuller lips. The Sephora Rouge Gel Lip Liner has a similar shade range and is budget friendly. Finish off with the Ulta Juice Infused Lip Oil that is paraben free and contains Vitamin E to nourish the lips.
Everyone’s facial features are different — and even though you may not look like Madison Beer — following these tips and tricks will get you one step closer to achieving her signature effortless look. This routine will be a go-to this upcoming spring, so if you try it out, share it on Instagram and tag @rouge.mag for a chance to be featured on our page!
