What’s In My Spring Break Bag & a Fresh and Rosy Makeup Look
It’s finally time! Goodbye to stress, midterms, and rainy February— and hello to freedom, warmth, and sunny Spring Break. With seven days to go on endless adventures, make memories, and live life without the pressures of school; who knows what this week will bring?
Whether you’re spending time with friends at the beach or just relaxing on the grass at a local park, make sure that these ten essentials make it into your tote bag. You never know what the day could bring, but these items will ensure you’ll be ready for anything.
Disposable camera
I’m a huge advocate for capturing photos of friends on film. Winding up the dial on a bright green Fujifilm camera just feels more special than pulling out your phone and tapping a button. Besides just looking cool, getting the film developed will leave you with super cute photos to hang on the wall or give to your friends!
Snacks
I never leave home without a granola bar or a packet of trail mix. Make sure to pack a quick snack to eat on the go, like a tangerine or a classic PB&J.
Reusable water bottle
Save the planet and keep your body hydrated by throwing a reusable water bottle into your bag.
Light jacket
Just in case Spring Break isn’t all sunshine and warmth, a light jacket will protect you from the passing winter winds.
Mini hand sanitizer
Springtime brings sunshine, but it also brings a whole host of other germs. A quick spritz of hand sanitizer means you’ll be protecting yourself and those around you from getting sick over break.
Coin purse
Let’s face it, carrying around a bulky wallet just isn’t ideal anymore. Switching to a coin purse that comfortably fits a few cards and some loose change will surely lighten your purse-load.
Portable speaker
The perfect addition to picnics, sunset-watching, and hiking, packing a portable speaker is essential for making sure that your Spring Break has a stunning soundtrack. Don’t worry, we’ve already got your music needs covered with a Spring Break playlist (**link playlist/article here**).
Reading material
Just because it’s Spring Break doesn’t mean you don’t have to put learning new knowledge on pause, too. You finally have time to read that book you’ve been meaning to read since last year (I know, I have one too).
Sunglasses
The sun’s rays are powerful, so make sure to throw a pair of cute sunnies in your bag to protect your eyes!
Makeup bag
To keep your makeup routine quick and light, we created this natural, glowy look with only five products.
Dot some concealer under your eyes, around your nose, and on any problem areas you want to cover up. Then, using the pads of your fingers, tap a soft, pink cream blush onto the apples of your cheeks for the perfect natural flush. Lightly fill in your eyebrows and brush them out using a spoolie, and then add some liquid highlighter onto your brow bone, cheekbones, and cupid’s bow to draw extra light to the area. Apply some rosy Vaseline to your lips for that fresh, wet lip look and then put a thin layer of that same Vaseline onto a spoolie and comb it through your eyelashes. It adds just enough definition to your lashes without the hassle of mascara. A quick wink and a kiss, and you’re good to go!
