Rouge Holiday Makeup Looks

Let’s face it— the holiday season is one of the most wonderful, bright, happy, and hectic times of the year. With holiday shopping, finals week for those in college, major projects due at your job, holiday parties, and so much more, life can get ahead of you. Luckily, with these four holiday makeup looks all planned out for you, you can mix and match for every special occasion all winter long!

Deck the halls and have a ball by kicking off the holiday season with this glamorous gold look. You can style it up or down with a more neutral lip shade, or be daring and go with a bright red. The eye shadow can even be used as an accessory to dress your outfit up, whether you choose to just apply it below the crease of your eyelid or all over. Glitter never fails to make an impact.

Gold is a trend that can be seen year-round, but this holiday season, use the glitter to take it one step further. Remember: your makeup should reflect you, so wear what makes you feel beautiful. But one thing’s for sure, gold is universally flattering.

After all, we are Rouge, so we would never leave that color out. Red is a staple color for every holiday season when it comes to Santa’s suit, candy canes, ribbons and bows, and more— so why not wear it on your eyes as well? Red may seem like a daring color to tackle, but the holiday season is the perfect time to throw some bright red onto your eyelids and draw attention.

Pair this glittery look with whatever outfit matches your occasion, whether it be your elegant Christmas gown, your tacky holiday sweater, or a white top and jeans— with this addition, now your outfit will be a look everyone else wishes could replicate.

If you’re feeling like a total diva this holiday season, this is the look for you. Take this shiny twist on the timeless smokey eye and you’ll be the life of any party. In this combo, the glitter is only on the lid, allowing the smokey eye to accentuate darker features; the glitter is a perfect finishing touch. This look is perfect to ring in the new year, and can also be dressed up or down depending on the level of drama you want.

For a more understated look, you can wear all black and use the eyeshadow to be the focal point of your outfit. The alternative is to be the queen everyone wants to be on New Years’ and wear rhinestones with colors, and let the eyeshadow just be another piece of your holiday appearance.

New year, new color! Step outside of your comfort zone on Dec. 31st and let this eye-catching look play up your glam side. For this fun and captivating look, color is everything. Bright pink can help bring your outfit from just another at the party, to the center of attention. Glitter is still a factor at play here, though the muted sparkle allows the color to be the focal point.

Pair this 70s glam-inspired look with a sparkly silver ‘fit and you’ll take the attention right off the ball drop on New Year’s Eve. You can even wear these colors with additional colors for extra drama, or instead favor a simple black dress to bring attention to your face. Whatever you choose to wear, pink always grabs attention.

With these looks, you can add more sparkle if you feel like New Year’s royalty, or even tone down the shine and pick some matte eyeshadow colors for the family white elephant gift party. Whatever the occasion, gold, silver, red, and glitter are staples of the holiday season, and neons make it all the more playful.

Give one or all of these looks a try this year, and leave everyone in awe of your holiday cheer.
