Love on Tour: Where Music Meets Fashion
Sequined vests, feathered sleeves, high waisted pants, and suspenders are all current trademarks of Harry Styles’ “Love on Tour.” Styled by Harry Lambert, Styles’ sophomore tour has seen a switch from the singer’s previous signature Gucci suits. Lambert and Styles have created yet another signature look for this tour, now typically opting for wide-leg high waisted pants and lightweight button downs.
Most of Styles’ outfits have been loosely based on the blue and pink look from the “Fine Line” cover, just in different color variations. Stylist Harry Lambert has been posting layouts of the full outfits at each stop, usually consisting of a wide-leg pant, button down, suspenders, and a pair of matching boots. Fans have come to expect this signature look at shows, but for a select few stops like Nashville, New York City, and Las Vegas, Styles and Lambert have pleasantly surprised the audience with special alternatives.
The tour kicked off with a shirtless Styles wearing a pink fringe vest and matching pants, somewhat reminiscent of his leather Grammys performance outfit.
Fans were shocked at the change from his beloved Gucci suits but were excited to see Styles pushing his own fashion boundaries. Styles and Lambert are known to take inspiration from other male fashion icons like David Bowie, Prince, and Jimi Hendrix, so seeing Styles change up his concert look in a more flamboyant, inventive way was a welcome surprise for fans.
Along with Styles, fans are taking their outfits for the concert seriously. Being one of the first major tours since the Coronavirus, along with fans having to wait around two years to attend the concert, months of planning have gone into show-goers’ looks. Countless fans have posted videos of them customizing their outfits with crystals and embroidery, while some are fully making their outfits themselves.
For fans going to Love on Tour still on the hunt for the perfect fit, have fun with it! Harry Styles concerts are a safe place to express yourself, so maybe push yourself outside of your comfort zone and wear a look you wouldn’t normally go out in. No matter what you wear, make sure you’re having fun and go have the time of your life, there’s nothing like live music and fun fashion!
