Rouge _alentine’s DayEvent Recap
Magazine members and their friends gathered last Thursday, February 13th, for Rouge’s first ever _alentine’s Day event. The missing letter in ” _alentine’s” was meant to be filled with whatever members chose - “V” for those in relationships, “P” for those hanging out with their pals, or “G” for those enjoying a night out with their guys or gals.
Attendees gathered in Dawson Hall and enjoyed a photo wall, donuts, makeup samples, and card-making supplies while socializing with friends.
A campus representative for Maybelline provided complimentary lip stains in a range of reds of pinks for attendees to try on and take home.
Rouge Director of Communications Julia Jack headed event organization and prepared a donut wall featuring vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate-coated donuts for attendees to enjoy.
Many attendees created Valentine’s Day notes for loved ones using markers, paint, card stock, and paint sample chips scattered on craft tables set up around the room. Others brought white tote bags and tee shirts with them to decorate.
Attendees joked around with props, heart-shaped glasses, and golden hug and kiss balloons in front of a photo wall that provided the perfect background for an evening filled with laughter, good food, and friendship.
